Mamaki
Mamaki watched the lands, her gentle brown orbs scanning the lands as she cocked her right ear back to her daughter. Then she turned her crown and whickered softly like a gentle lullaby. Calling the small filly forward. Though the blue eyed sable champagne hybrid with the curved blue horn that matched her eyes. She watched her daughther gentle brown eyes creased with faint smile. She worried for Imena. Her simple beautiful dream daughter. As the mare watched her she smiled softly flexing her wings to remind her daughter she had to build up the strength in them. The Tékklistar mare snorted softly.
Today was a good day. That much the mare had figured out, though the winter was chilly. There was the beauty of the sun glistening down. Warming them even if the air was warm against the cold deathly kiss of winter. As the mre watched the filly with tender love as she whickered encouragingly to the filly. Imena Imena watched her mother, hidden in the trees to obsure the veiw one could get of the hybrid filly she watched her mom. Sky blue eyes filled with worry. But even with that worried state. It looked like Imena was dreaming. Like she was walking on clouds when her mother whickered to her and she pranced forward. She watched her mothers large wings strech out and flap a couple times. And the filly mimicked the movements. The small wings flexed outwards and she herd her dam whicker to her. She followed close to her mother.
The mare was watching the lands before she lowered her head to graze upon the cold earthen soil. And not being weaned yet the filly nursed quietly her blue eyes closed. She shifted her wings tight to her ribs as she let her little tail flick. She knew things would change soon... _________________ The Words We share:307 The Scene we play:It's winter, before the snow has fallen. Large wings beat upon the crisp air, an overo shadow gracfully treading the clouds. The mare was a true giant, a three foot horn, twenty foot wings, seventeen hands tall, massive, but with a gentle, loving nature. The mare eyed the lake beneath her and dived down, landing with a soft thud, the winter hardened grass taking the impact of the huge mass.
Selena's pale blue eyes looked around and saw nothing, for the moment. Her black overo bodice turned to the lake as she craned her lengthy neck to drink calmly, silently. Small swishes of her tail were occasional movements although as Selena's wings folded neatly to her back, they blended with such subtleness, one wouldn't notice from a distance.
There was a soft wicker which alerted the keen five year old mare and she turned her head to see a small but pretty filly emerge from the shadows of the forest to greet her mother. The pegasi smiled and stretched her wings gently before watching as the love between the mother and daughter showed, radiating off.
In case the pair had noticed Selena, she turned her head back and looked to the skies. Selena began to graze quietly as she kept an eye on the foal. They were always curious, always in danger. But that's why the mare liked them. She could sense winter was dawning. Better wrap up warm you two, winter's here are cold, harsh and unforgiving. Like they could hear her thoughts!
But Selena coult resist the temptation no longer.
Calmly, Selena nickered softly but quietly, so as not to scare the youngling. Her melodic tones trickled gently like a song as she spoke to the mare in greeting. Greetings stranger, filly. Welcome to Lacuna. I am Selena, but call me Lena or Sal, I don't mind. Ears twitching, the mare waited for an reply, bowing her head to try and look smaller. Please don't fear me, I don't wish to harm either of you. I am a friend, I shall help you if you'd like it.
Selena's soft words were sure to comfort any frights by the size of the vixen. Selane could see tha the filly would fright of the pegasi's size and in an effort to calm either mother of daughter, the Shire cross laid down to she was the same height as the filly.
So, what is your name little one?

Mamaki
A sound came to the pegasi mare's ears, she pinned her harks and looked to the large mare as she approached. She listened to the mare as she approached the mare listened. She watched as the massive draft like mare moved close, Towering over Mamaki's small frame. She flicked a hark and bobbed her head. “I am Mamaki.” The mare spoke gently. Watching as her daughter stared at the mare before running into hiding behind her. The mare cocked her head to the side watching her daughter smiling softly. “This is Imena.” The pretty cream mare flicked a hark. Watching the giant as her daughter hid. The Sable Champagne of the filly almost matching the color of the Amber Cream Champagne mare.
Brown eyes looked to the mare as she shifted to lie upon the ground. Mamaki tilted her head. “I am new to these lands, i am unsure of what they are like around here. What winter will be like. Where we will be safe.” The mare spoke gently as she watched her daughter. She flicked a hark. Her brown orbs watched the mare. Then she closed them she could feel the small filly pressed close to her. As she flicked her long hock kisser she listened for the mares lyrics. Her brown orbs shifted to look over the grounds. Imena Imena watched the mare as she approached, instantly fear filled her and she ran behind her mother. Her mother, her only friend, the only one she knew, the one who understood her. The filly stared at the mare with blue eyes harks flicked back a moment before pinning to the top of her head and pressing closer to her mother, she looked up at her mother as her name was spoken. She understood what her mother was saying. She wasn't stupid, shy yes, nervious, yes. She was the one who wanted to be alone... But she also knew they needed a herd. As she watched the mare lay down she shifted so her head was under her dams wing. She knew the mare wanted her trust. But trust was something Imena didn't really give out... A slight tremble rolled over her body, her mothers brown orbs looked to her with a gentle worry, not a suffocating worry, but one that said she was here. That she would help. And Imena knew what the mare was saying without staying it. Imena had a issue. She saw things... They where like a day time nightmare. Blood, death, fightng, war. Disaster. Some would wonder why the filly wasnt already dead or insane, but it seemed the filly and mare perfectly balanced each other. The filly listned to the breathing her mother made and relaxed. She wouldn't be scared if her mother wasnt scared.. _________________ The Words We share:464 The Scene we play:It's winter, before the snow has fallen. SelenaThe young mare listened intently to the mare's words from her unusually low position. Flicking one aud, Selena smiled and spoke. Nice to meet you Mamaki, Imena. When Mamaki spoke once more, the smaller mare talked of questions like winter and such. The draft shook out her mane and smiled warmly. She herself was rather new here, but she'd experienced last year's winter and this one was likely to be similar. Oh Mamaki, I am rather new, here but I've been around for a year and last winter was bitterly cold, many blizzards and cruel, harsh weathers. Selena said, thoughts of the younger, less expreienced little black overo pegasi she was last time. With a sigh, Selena continued. I doubt this one coming will be any different.
Suddenly, the mare thought of how hard it would be for Mamaki and Imena if they were new, it was tough enough without a filly to care for. The draft cross stretched out her large wings (20 foot!) and folded them back before glancing toward the filly's champague bodice. Small wings, soft, innocent eyes. I should offer them help! She mused and shot her glance toward Mamaki's soft face. The mare got to her feet and flicked her tail. You should be pretty safe in the trees but it would be difficult for simply the two of you. If Imena's father isn't around, I'll gladly help...that is, if Imena is okay with that. The grass is plentyful inside the tree's reaches as well, so I believe food is sorted. But something wasn't. Turning her head back, her bodice following, Selena stared sadly at the waters. They freezed thick last time, and neither mother nor daughter would ever get anything, unless it was cracked. With a heavy sigh, Selena turned around and spoke to Mamaki. This pond freezes thick, and I don't know any other water sources safe enough as this. I suppose my weight may be able to crack it, but if Imena doesn't want me around...I'm sorry to say, but I don't know if you'll survive.
Wolves prey on younglings around here but Selena's sheer size (17.2 hands) would protect the family. Imena didn't seem like the sort to trust easily and secretly, Selena was hurt.
The mare swished her tail and hung her head. She knew Imena wouldn't trust a stranger, she didn't look the type. I suppose I will have to leave you now. Imena seems quite scared of me... Suddenly, the young pegasi's heart sunk, her pale orbs seemed colourless and her body seemed limp, lifeless almost. I thought I could help...
Life could be so harsh sometimes, yet no one ever seemed to understand what Selena wanted to do.
Help others.
((Don't worry! ))

Mamaki
So the winters where harsh and terrible, that was not something the mare was surprised about. Things in the lands here seemed so much... more powerful then where they had in her home lands. She looked to the massive mare as she flexed her wings then she shifted looking to her daughter who was hiding under her wing. She listened to the mare speak of Imena's father, and instantly she remembered the pain she had endured. The being held down from the skies as she was raped. She trembled at the thought and felt Imena press closer. “Imena's father, if i see him, all i can say is thank for raping me and leaving me with my child.” She spoke gently. But there was a harsh tone towards the random brute that had raped the young mare. Taken away her innocence but in return as soon as she spoke of her daughter, the lyrics where gentle caring and loving. She watched her daughter poke her head out from under her wing to examine the mare. “I would however be grateful for your help Selena, i do not know if any herds around here would accept my little Imena. She... Doesn't trust. I figure it's because of the mixed blood that runs through her veins. And sometimes... my poor child.” A single tear fell along Mamaki's cheek. What happened to Imena sometimes would make any mother wheep. As the mare watched her daughter stare at the larger mare with slight nerviousness she smiled softly. “It's okay Imena..” The large mare spoke of leaving and she cocked her head. “Please, do not leave. Imena will come to trust you. Other pegasi that have offered to help me, have tried to attack my little one. And with the visions she sees, it's hard for her.” Her ears hung low on either side of her head her dark brown orbs filled with a silence before her daughters wretched scream pulled her away from the thoughts. Imena Imena was curious about the big mare. She listened to her mother speak. She was smart, she knew what her mother said was true. But as the pegasi uncorn hybrid listened to the mares she flicked a hark. Her body began to tremble uncontrolably. But she figured it was her mothers. Her pale blue eyes went paler, and before she knew it she was sucked into one of the hellish nightmares she so often saw. The massive unicorn laughed, his spiral like horn was long, and pointed skyward in a twirl almost slowly going upwards. But what was terrifing was the way blood dripped along his horn, covered his black pelt. He had a small unicorn mare, snow white in color bleeding. Her pale brown eyes showing her life was close to death. But as his horn speared her neck and he twisted his head to shove it in on a slant, she screamed. Not the little mare. Imena. Her body trembled as she stared ahead orbs wide her screaming louder and louder with each passing second. She could feel her mother trying to calm her. Touching the spot just behind her ear that she oh so liked. But she was shaking. She had just seen someone kill another. Tears started to pool along her cheeks as she shifted slightly, her legs trembled massively. And her loud screams slowly turned into loud sobs. She clung close to her dame as she cried for the lost life. Mamaki looked to the mare. Searching, hoping the big mare understood why her daughter was the way she was. She shifted wrapping a wing as close to the foal as she possibly could. She watched Selena. Sorrow for her daughter and searching for what Selena would do.
